Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final term of junior high. She has two younger siblings as well as an elder brother. The first time she was in the world of entertainment came when she did some modeling from ages nine to sixteen. Ron Stetson trained her in the methods of acting taught by Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. It took around three years. Others who have received this education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, among other people. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate out to Los Angeles. In the next couple of months, she was offered the part as Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was in charge of almost every stunt and demonstrated herself as an experienced actor. The talent agent that was Matt LeBlanc that she was able score a recurring part on Friends.
