Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of the mixed race family of South London in England. She is English as well as her father was Nigerian. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate, and then attended The Brit School aged 14. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She appeared in many stage productions during her school days, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career in the film Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. She played Bambi in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008. The credits she has in her theatre work comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport for ABC's drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe who had been a series regular in the past two seasons, was to leave the series following a guest appearance in the first episode of the new season. On the show Salem, she played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also was a character on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. Her parents were Patty and Roy Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's brothers, who are all sportsmen, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley was never able to walk. She would dance. At two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley competed in top-level divisions for jazz, tap hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated in high school. Ashley took home the best soloist prize at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention some.
